Alvin James Johnson Jr.

Alvin James "Neckbone" Johnson Jr. was born June 29, 1961 and gained his wings Sunday February 15, 2026.

Alvin passed away at Midland Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Alvin was a free thinker and an independent man. He was very talented and enjoyed acting, composing music and he was a small business owner of a holistic natural products company. Alvin was a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

Alvin was met in heaven by his mother Ella Sue Johnson, his father Alvin Johnson Sr. Brother-in-law Emmit Moore Jr, his nephew Alvin Russell II and many family ancestors.

Alvin leaves to mourn his daughter Natasia Johnson of California, his sisters Myrna (Alvin) Russell of Midland Texas, Louise Moore of Pecos Texas, nieces Tevayan Russell of Midland, Susan (Blake) Mitchell of DeWitt Ark, Catherine (Dylan) Saunders of Pflugerville Texas, great nephew Maxton Mitchell, great nieces Legend Russell, Memorie Mitchell and Nora Saunders.

In lieu of flowers please contribute to "Ella's Nurses" scholarship fund at West Texas Community Credit Union in Pecos Texas.
