Brenda Kay Richardson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2026, at Midland Memorial Hospital. She was 66 years old.
Brenda was born on March 14, 1960, in Ector County to the late Allue Whitmill Richardson and Leo Richardson Sr. Raised in a loving home, she grew up alongside her siblings: Arsena Woodard, Stampline Fields, Mary Blaylock, and Leo Richardson Jr.
A proud graduate of Ector High School, Brenda went on to attend Odessa College, where she pursued her passion for helping others in the medical field, building a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
In her younger days, Brenda was a talented athlete who shined in track and field. Throughout her life, she found joy in the simple pleasures: casting a line while fishing, dancing to her favorite music, putting together puzzles, and carefully collecting cherished knick-knacks.
Those who knew Brenda knew she was a force of nature. She truly had fire in her soul and grace in her heart. She was beautiful, resilient, strong, powerful, and utterly fearless in how she loved and lived.
Her legacy lives on through her devoted children: Tracy Pruitt, Latisha Richards, Lakendra Smith, Latoya Pruitt, Laron Richardson, and LaTiffany Richardson. She also leaves behind ten adored grandchildren and one precious great-grandson, all of whom will carry her strength and spirit forward.
"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure."
