Briggett Edith Jefferson

Briggett Edith Jefferson went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 24, 2024 at the age of 63. She was born January 2, 1961 in Sweetwater, Texas to Ulice "Bill" Braziel and Bilie Sue Nelson Jefferson. Soon after, she was adopted by Clinton "fatty" Jefferson.

Briggett had a zest for life that was contagious and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Upon moving to Midland she attended Washington Elementary, Pease Elementary, and Midland Lee. She received her GED in Tulsa, Oklahoma from Job Corps.

Briggett loved the Lord with all her heart and was very active in her church family. She was Baptized in 1968 under the pastorage of Rev. Woodard and grew up in Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She attended several different churches and sang in the choir, served as a youth director as well until her health started to fail. Briggett had an impact on many people throughout her years of service.

Briggett is now reunited in Heaven with her parents Billie and Clinton Jefferson, Father Ulice Braziel, Brother Barry Jefferson, Grandparents Freddie and Rosetta Nelson.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Chavaye Glover of Odessa, Brenaye McClendon (Kendrick) of Odessa, her son T.J. Glover (Lauren) of Midlothian, 7 grandchildren D'morriyon Breaux, Sirr-Kellen McClendon, Major-Kyrenn McClendon, Brinley Glover, Kenleigh McClendon, Ah'Princeton Stubbs and Tristan Glover. Her favorite Aunt/ Mother Barbara Pertile (L.A.) Siblings Melanie O'neal (Bennie) of Palm Beach, Florida, Ronald, Carlton, Anthony, Fredrick, Melissa and Corry Pertile of Midland. Her very best friends Barbara Parker, Carla Brady, Joann Tryon, Valarie Harmon and Charlotte Jackson and the entire MHS/LHS Class of 79, God- Children, adopted children, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousin, and extended family.
