Clifton Chandler Pettis

Clifton Chandler McMaryion Pettis, 68 transitioned to be with the Lord on January 14, 2026. Clifton was born on November 15,1957, in McCamey, Texas to Lawrence McMaryion and Maggie Myers McMaryion. He was the 11th child out of 12 children from this matrimony.

Clifton graduated from McCamey High School in 1976. Clifton participated in several sports while in high school and was a stand out in football where he was selected to the All District 6 2 A football team. Clifton went to Ranger, Texas where he played collage football. Clifton went to work for Shell Pipeline where he worked 20 years. Clifton was ordained into ministry by Pastor Massey of St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas.

He leaves to cherish his memories with his son's Quinton Pettis and Patrick Pettis and two granddaughters and two grand son's a Sister Melissa McMaryion and brothers Lawrence McMaryion and Steven McMaryion; a host of nieces and nephew's and great, great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death is his mother Maggie Myers McMaryion and his father Lawerence McMaryion. Brothers Joe Terry, Billy Terry, George McMaryion, Nolan McMaryion and a son Ryan Pettis. Sisters Robbie Wroe, Georgia Ann Hall, Cecila McMaryion, Lessie Sims and Louise McMaryion.

He Carried his family on his heart and loved his family dearly. He will forever be in our heart's and will be so missed.
