Denia Johne’t Bibbs

February 2, 2004 — March 29, 2026

On Monday, February 2, 2004, a beautiful baby girl, Denia Johne't Bibbs was born in Long Beach, California to Dennis John and Ann Marie Bibbs. Thereafter, the family moved to Conley, Georgia where she became a member of Living Word Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Kenneth and First Lady Veronica Paden in Forest Park, Georgia. She attended Living Word Christian Academy where she formed a bond with her teacher, Mother Martha Lyles. She excelled scholastically as well as in the arts of singing and dancing. She won "Most Talented" at the age of three in the Church Pageant.

Later, the family moved to Midland, Texas where she united with Faith Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent W.C. Kenan. There she served in the Rose Buds choir, the Youth Department, and the Faith Temple Choir. Denia attended Ben Milan Elementary School, Pease Academy, Lee Freshman, and then Lee High School. While attending Lee, she was a member of the choir; she also auditioned and was elected chaplain in her second year of the Dixie Dolls Drill Team. Denia graduated from Lee alongside her classmates, demonstrating her resilience and determination.

At the age of 16, she faced a difficult and long medical journey that challenged every fiber of her existence, but she never quit, nor did she ever complain. She smiled through it all and fought the pain guided by her faith and God. Despite all the medical mountains she climbed, Denia remained determined to pursue her dreams and was attending college with the goal of becoming a nurse. She was truly a miracle.

Denia had a deep love for her family, especially her daughter, Kamia Johnae Curry. She had the prettiest smile that matched her beautiful spirit, always making those around her feel at home. Her laughter was infectious, and those who knew her best understood just how naturally funny she was. She was selfless, always caring for others-whether it meant giving a teammate a ride home or simply showing up as her genuine, loving self. Everyone who knew her loved her.

Denia peacefully slept away on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Leaving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kamia Johnae Curry; her parents, Dennis John and Ann Marie Bibbs; her God Mother, April Nicole Douglas of Atlanta, Georgia; her brother, Dennis John Bibbs II; her sisters, Denetrics Marie Bibbs and Deneaja Johnelle Bibbs; Kamia's father, Kameron Curry and Family, along with a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Denia was a bright light, warm soul, and a loving inspiration. We will miss her deeply.
