Jessica Lee Holldorf

Jessica Lee Holldorf, born February 8, 1947, in the beautiful state of Tennessee, touched the face of Jesus on September 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Jessica was a longtime resident of Midland, where she worked for many years as a private caregiver. Caring for others was a calling she lived out throughout her life. She spent much of her life involved in ministry, including serving at an orphanage in Guatemala and participating in outreach work in the South End of Midland.

Jessica loved the Lord, and that love was evident in the way she lived her life. She had a heart for people and a gift for loving and caring for those around her.

Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Robert Vaughn; her mother, Dortha Vaughn; her son, John Vaughn; and the love of her life, her best friend and partner of more than 40 years, Roger Holldorf.

She is survived by her brothers, Bob Vaughn, and Tom Vaughn and his wife, Annette Vaughn. She is also survived by her children, Rebecca Hayes, Thomas Haynes, Melisa Brown and her husband, Clint Brown, and daughter-in-law, Karla Vaughn. Jessica leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Jessica, Joshua, Jeremy, Jennifer, Kristen, Tosha, Kay, Ashley, Jonathan, Roger, and Rachel; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Jessica loved well, served faithfully, and gave generously of herself to others. Her faith, her love, and her presence touched many lives.

She will be deeply missed, but we find comfort knowing that she is now in the presence of the Lord and reunited with those she loved.
