The Journey of Life
Joseph Bernard Williams
"JWill" or "JJ"
Joseph Bernard Williams, lovingly known as "JWill" or "JJ," was called home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026. He was born on August 6, 1999, in Midland, Texas, to Matiemae Lytle and Joseph Bernard Williams Sr.
Joseph began his spiritual journey at Cotton Flat Baptist Church, where he gave his life to God at an early age. He was active in sports throughout his childhood and high school years, building not only athletic skill but lifelong friendships. He graduated from Midland High School in 2018, leaving a lasting impression on classmates, teachers, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In 2022, Joseph embraced one of the most meaningful roles of his life-fatherhood. With the birth of his beloved daughter, Adelaide Serenity Espinoza Williams, he made a powerful commitment to grow, change, and become the best father he could be. She was his pride and joy, and he was deeply dedicated to her.
Joseph will always be remembered for his infectious smile and warm spirit that could light up any room. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to those around him, and his bright spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
He is now reunited in heaven with his Aunt Brenda Williams, Aunt Victoria Thompson, Uncle Nathan Williams, Uncle Donnie Thompson, Grandmother Claudia Thompson, and Grandfather Curtis Thompson.
Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love to be cherished by his mother, Matiemae Lytle; his father, Joseph Bernard Williams Sr.; his grandmother, Lula Chambers; his daughter, Adelaide Serenity Espinoza Williams; his sisters, Brandy Williams, Nachelle Williams, and Taja Thompson; his brother, Dajon Samuels; his nieces, Amagine Taylor and Tariya Chatman; his nephew, Namari Taylor; his uncles, Melvin Norris, Jessie Norris, Tommy Burton, Charles Curtis, and Bennie Thompson; his aunts, Pamela Wright and Kathy Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
