Roger William Holldorf, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 24, 2025. Born on May 23, 1937, in Iowa to Clair and Lola Holldorf. Roger was the eldest of six children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brothers, Allen and Harlan Holldorf. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jessica Holldorf; his sisters, Mary Penry, Zelda Swartz, and Beverly Curtis; and a large, loving family.
Roger was a proud father to six children: Kevin Holldorf, Terry Holldorf, Rebecca Hayes, Thomas Haynes, Melisha Brown, and Robert (John) Vaughn. He was also cherished by his daughters-in-law, Karla Vaughn and Candy Holldorf, and son-in-law, Clint Brown. His home was always filled with the joy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even a great-great-grandson, all of whom he adored.
Growing up on the family farm in Iowa, Roger developed a strong work ethic that carried him through life. His passion for trucks led him to a lifelong career as a truck driver, a job he took great pride in. Hardworking and dedicated, he was a man who embraced his responsibilities with unwavering commitment.
Those who knew Roger will remember his deep and uncommon love for animals-sometimes, it seemed, even more than for people! He had a special bond with his dogs and found comfort in their companionship. Above all else, Roger loved his family, especially the love of his life, Jessica. Together, they built a life on their own terms, standing by each other through every joy and challenge. In these last years, they were inseparable, devotedly caring for one another until his final days. Roger truly loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Roger's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, resilience, and dedication will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, Roger-you were deeply loved and will be missed beyond words.
