Roosevelt "June Bug" Wiley Jr., went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2024. Roosevelt was born on March 23, 1951 in Odessa, Texas to the late Ollie Hallcy and Roosevelt Wiley Sr.
Roosevelt was known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. A man of integrity and compassion, he worked tirelessly to ensure his family was well cared for, leaving a legacy of love and resilience. He was also an avid supporter of his grandchildren, rarely missing a game as he enthusiastically cheered them on.
Roosevelt was deeply committed to both his faith and his community. As a deacon in his church, he served with humility and devotion, touching countless lives with his kindness and wisdom. He was also a proud and longtime member of The Black Image social club, where he found fellowship and joy among friends who shared his passion for uplifting the community.
Roosevelt is now reunited in heaven with his parents and maternal grandmother, Minnie Hallcy.
Left to cherish his memory is Doris Wiley, loving wife of 35 years, four sons, Darren Wiley (Hope), Curtis Rollie (Cristian), Christopher Flower, and James Wiley (Katrina), two God-daughters Destinee Lewis and Ajahcia Dawson, special friends the Aleman family, eight grandchildren, Darren Wiley II, Izach Perez, Ava Perez, Iverson Wiley, Ilijah Wiley, Braydon Rollie, Braden Hogan, and Jaxson Phariss, aunts Lillian Brown (George) and Mae Andrews, numerous brother and sister-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Roosevelt Wiley will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
