On Sunday, December 31st, 1972, Ronald and Patricia Hall welcomed Shantel Deeann into the world in Midland, Texas. During her childhood, she had the opportunity to live in Hawaii before returning to Midland, the place she would call home for the rest of her life. Some of her happiest childhood moments were spent with her cousins and family.
Shantel loved the joy of holidays-the laughter, the good food, and the conversations that brought everyone together. She treasured dolls and anything antique or vintage. Cooking and singing were among her many joys, along with fashion, art, and music.
For many years, Shantel faithfully shared her love of singing as a member of the choir at Alexander Temple Church of God in Christ. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School, she attended Midland College. She spent many years working in the banking industry before finding her passion as a secretary at Stubbeman Law Firm, where she worked until illness prevented her from continuing.
Throughout her life, Shantel's love for God and family remained at the center of who she was. Her faith never wavered, and she brought light and joy to those around her. Her big, beautiful smile could brighten a room, and once she started laughing, she sometimes couldn't stop. Those moments of joy will remain among the memories her loved ones hold closest.
Shantel Deeann McDaniel, life will never be the same without you. You have left a permanent mark on our hearts. We will carry your love, remember your laughter, and treasure the time we shared. Until we see you again.
Shantel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bishop John Elbert and Missionary Argretha Alexander; Reverend Birtis and Bertha McDaniel; and Audrey Mae Jones McClain.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Nathen McDaniel, Noelle McDaniel, and Nicholas McDaniel; her grandchildren, Naima McDaniel and Julion Mitchell; her parents, Ronald Hall and Patricia Badger (Dale); and her brothers, Antwan Hall and Devorak Hall.
