Sirnell Morris

October 26, 1942 — April 17, 2026

Sirnell Morris, affectionately known as "Aunt Nell," was born on October 26, 1942, in Robertson County, Texas, to the late Sergeon Massey and Estella Dairy-Morris.

She accepted Christ at an early age while being raised in Calvert, Texas. In July of 1958, she relocated to Midland, Texas, where she became an active member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church.

Aunt Nell attended and graduated from Carver High School, where she also attained her cosmetology license. She later continued her education at Midland College. She entered the workforce and dedicated many years of service to Levi Strauss, where she worked her way up to the position of supervisor. After her time at Levi's, she continued her career at REDA Pumps, where she worked until her retirement.

She was an avid sports fan, especially known for her love-hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys, whom she faithfully supported throughout the years. Aunt Nell also had a passion for coaching and proudly led a winning MUGS inaugural softball team to a championship. In addition, she enjoyed league bowling and had a deep love for traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sergeon Massey and Estella Dairy-Morris; her stepfather, James Coffield; her paternal grandmother, Fatima Mary Bell-Ford; her maternal grandparents, Nelson Dairy Jr. and Etta Taliaferro-Dairy; her brothers, Eljay Morris (Jessie M.), Sergeon Massey Jr., Tommie Don Massey, Willie Massey, and Harold Massey; and her sisters, Jimmie Mae Brunson, Marion Lucile Morris, Bobbie Jean, Susie Morris, and Jessie Morris.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Lawrence Morris, Willie Daniel Morris (Kim), Michael Massey, and Donald Massey; her sisters, Tracy Jackson, Brenda, Rose Mary, JoAnn, Sheila, Felicia, Deidra, Marsha, Helena, and Marilyn "Vonne"; along with countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of other loving family members and dear friends.

The family extends a very special thank you to the Midland Memorial Hospital CCU 5th Floor staff-Brittany, Jenny, Brooklyn, and Ayisat-for the genuine love, care, and compassion shown to Aunt Nell and her family during her transition and ascent to glory. We are also deeply grateful to all who offered their sympathy, prayers, support, and condolences during this time.
