Tommie Lee Render

Jul 26, 1980 — Jun 9, 2026

Tommie Lee Render, 45, passed away on June 9, 2026.

Born on July 26, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tommie was raised in Denver City, Texas, where he built lifelong friendships and became known for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to the people he loved. He attended Southern University and carried his love for learning, connection, and community throughout his life.

Tommie was the son of Shela Niblett and the late Tommie Lee Lanton Sr. He was also blessed to have the love and support of his stepfather, Odell Niblett.

Above all else, Tommie treasured his family. His children were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by his beloved children, Audrie Render, Kambrie Render, Quentin Render, Xzavier Render, Memphys Shumake, and Destani Davis; his cherished granddaughter, Raélynn Alamilla; his mother, Shela Niblett; his stepfather, Odell Niblett; and his siblings, Robert Render, Katasha Foat, Roy Lanton, and Aaron Collins.

Tommie also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives were forever touched by his kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommie Lee Lanton Sr., and his grandparents, Nathan Render, Billy Render, and Virgie Robinson.

Tommie was a true people person the kind of man who never met a stranger. He had a remarkable ability to sense when someone was hurting and would not rest until he knew they were okay. His caring nature and "Mr. Fix-It" attitude made him someone others could always depend on. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and made it his mission to lift the spirits of those around him.

A gifted singer, talented beatboxer, and natural comedian, Tommie could light up any room with his humor and larger-than-life personality. His laughter was contagious, and his greatest joy came from making others smile. Whether sharing stories, singing a favorite song, or spending precious time with his children, Tommie created memories that will be treasured forever.

One of Tommie's favorite sayings was, "Knee grows united," a phrase that reflected his belief in togetherness, connection, and bringing people together.

Though he will be deeply missed, Tommie's family and friends take comfort in remembering the happiness he brought into their lives. When you think of Tommie, smile and remember the laughter, the love, and the countless wonderful memories you shared with him.

His legacy lives on through his children, granddaughter, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
