Tony Milton Hernandez

Tony Milton Hernandez, 39, of Midland, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2026. He was born on March 11, 1987, in Midland, Texas. Tony's life was a blessing to those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered with deep affection by his family and friends.

Tony attended Midland public schools. At the time of his passing, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for a local swimming pool company. He was baptized early in life at Greater St. Luke AME Church and carried a love for the Lord throughout his life. Tony loved to cook and bake desserts. He found endless joy in being surrounded and embraced by family. One of his favorite places was his mother's backyard, where he could gather with the people he loved most.

Tony was a Father, Son, Friend, Uncle, and Supporter to so many. He had a gift for reaching people, a caring heart, and a sense of style that earned him the nickname "PT," short for "Pretty Tony." He never met a stranger, loved spending intentional time with others, and was always willing to serve wherever he was needed. Tony never hesitated to tell others that he loved them and was always the first one willing to champion and affirm others in their accomplishments; and even shortcomings. He will be remembered by all who knew him and were loved by him. His kindness, warmth, and generous spirit reflected the mark and impact that his Savior and Lord JESUS made on him and revealed to him first.

Tony was the beloved son of Ceromie and Pamela Coleman and the late Margarito Gomez Hernandez Jr. Tony was part of a large and loving family and shared a special bond with his siblings: Ashley Jackson and her husband, Adrian; Margarito Gomez Hernandez II and his wife, Tina; Marcus Waugh; Alisha Waugh; Jermain Griffin; Safari Coleman and his wife, Syediah; Ceromie Coleman Jr.; Atrionn Bowers and his wife, Shalonda; and Cequan Bryson and his wife, Maribel.

Tony is survived by his wife, Linda Hernandez; his mother-in-law, Janice Martinez; his father-in-law, Miguel Horrach and the mother of his children, Andrea Brito.

Tony's legacy will live on in his children: Micah Alexander Hernandez, Aidan Tony Hernandez, Mina Rose Hernandez, Davin Reed Hernandez, Tony Milton Hernandez II, Malaya Lewis, Andrew Mata, and Anayah Martinez.

He was the grandson of Milton and Jodie Porter, Margarito Gomez Hernandez Sr., Juan and Nina Munoz. Tony was preceded in death by his grandfather, Milton Porter; his father, Margarito Gomez Hernandez Jr.; and his uncles, Jessie Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, and Julius Watson.

Tony held a special place in his heart for the men who shared love, loyalty, and meaningful bonds with him: Safari Coleman, Ceromie Coleman Jr., Jermain Griffin, Margo Hernandez, Marcus Waugh, Shainne Scott, Schellbe Scott, Omar Roberts, Laonii Cameron Hall, Braeden Hall, Kaeden Wilson, Ricky Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, Junior Hernandez, Ken Gambrel, Shannon Scott, Anthony Martinez, Marcus Niblett, and so many others he would consider as his brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Greater St. Luke AME Church, 401 South Adams Street, Midland, Texas 79701.

Tony's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His family will forever hold close to the moments, laughter, love, and faith they shared with him.
