Mrs. Willie Bea Johnson-Haliburton, affectionately known as Mimi, was born on February 10, 1937, in Waco, Texas, to Etta Mae Campbell and Willie Edward Johnson. With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate her life and legacy as we announce her passing at the age of 88, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in Midland, Texas.
Willie Bea was a true Christian and faithful member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was dedicated to her faith, family, and friends and her love was displayed in her beautiful smile. She was happiest when she was spending time with her daughter (Lenora) as they did all they could to help others; especially by cooking meals and baking cakes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charlie Haliburton; her son Lyndon 'Bim' Johnson; her siblings Jimmy Lee Winfield, Joe "Tex" Winfield, Roy Johnson, Doris Jiles, Christine Fields, Lena Green, Minnie Pryor, and Allen Morill; her niece Cynthia Harris and nephews Bobby Joe White and Robert White; and her great-grandsons Nicholas Ray Johnson and Dante Williams.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Lenora Williams; her only living sibling Ira Johnson; her cherished grandchildren Stevie Ray Johnson, Morris Williams Jr., Willie Johnson, Latisha Lee, Akisha Woods, Cassandra Lee, and Anthony Lee; along with a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Willie Bea's strength, resilience, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She touched countless lives with her generosity and wisdom, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.
